Former President Barack Obama may have found his next big project, and it might mean we’ll be seeing more of him on Netflix.

According to the New York Times, Netflix is currently in advanced negotiations with Barack Obama which would see the former president of the United States producing a series of high profile shows for the online streaming platform.

If the deal goes through, Netflix would be paying both the former president, and his wife, Michelle Obama, to create exclusive content for the platform.

Though the deal is in advanced negotiation, there’s not much with regard to what the content might entail, or how many episodes the show would consist of.

That being said, it sounds as though both the Obamas and Netflix are working on a few potential ideas.

One source close to the project claims that the Obamas may want to use the show as a platform with which to highlight inspirational stories.

Meanwhile, it’s being reported that another option could find the Obamas shining a spotlight on issues they held close to their hearts during their term as President and First Lady.

“In one possible show idea, Mr. Obama could moderate conversation on topics that dominated his presidency— health care, voting rights, immigration, foreign policy, climate change,” writes the New York Times. “Another program could feature Mrs. Obama on topics, like nutrition, that she championed int he White House.”

If the deal goes through, it would mark one of the first big moves the former President and First Lady have made since leaving the White House.

We’ll be looking forward to finding out more about the proposed series if the deal gets finalized.
