Looks like Netflix’s Away won’t get the chance to bring fans along for the ride to Mars.

According to Deadline, Netflix has officially cancelled Away after just one season.

Series star Hilary Swank, who also served as an executive producer on the series, took to Instagram on Tuesday (October 2) to comment on the news of Away getting cancelled by Netflix.

“Love and hope will always remain my North Star,” wrote the Academy Award winner in the caption of a still from the series. “IT was an incredible journey my compadres. And thank you to all my extraordinary followers who watched and supported our beautiful show. Wish we were showing you mars! Until the next one.”

The series, which debuted via Netflix on September 4, wa created by Andrew Hinderaker and featured a slew of heavy hitters involved on the executive producer front including the likes of Jason Katims, Matt Reeves, and Edward Zwick.

The space drama revolved around Green gearing up to lead an international team on the first mission to Mars, but also delved into the growing tensions amongst the diverse crew, as well as hardships happening down on earth for the astronauts’s families.
