Joss Whedon’s Avengers television show, Agents of SHIELD, has been picked up for a full season, the network announced today.

The decision was made during their upfronts in which they decide which shows to turn into full seasons, cancel, and/or renew.

Reports indicate that the first promo for Agents of SHIELD will air during the Once Upon a Time finale this Sunday on ABC. The pilot was shot earlier this year, and during its filming we shared tweets from people on the set. The network’s publicity Twitter account tweeted to expect more news about the show next week.

The official logo for Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the first look at the cast were released:

“Prepare for an epic adventure that showcases the hope and wonder of the human spirit,” reads the show’s official synopsis. “This is a world of Super Heroes, aliens and the unusual – of action, spectacle and world spanning stories. The show will speak to the human condition through the lens of our very human, non-powered S.H.I.E.L.D agents – that together we are greater than we are apart, and that we can make a difference in the world.”

Hypable will be offering full coverage of Agents of SHIELD when it premieres later this year.

The Avengers television show’s pilot episode is directed by Joss Whedon. He will serve as executive producer.

Cast members include Clark Gregg as Phil Coulson, Ming-Na Wen as Melinda May, Brett Dalton as Grant Ward, Chloe Bennet as Skye, Iain De Caestecker as Leo Fitz, and Elizabeth Henstridge as Jemma Simmons.

Joss Whedon will direct The Avengers 2, which is scheduled for release May 1, 2015.

Also at today’s ABC upfronts, Once Upon a Time was renewed for season 3, Nashville was renewed for season 2, Grey’s Anatomy was renewed for season 10, Scandal was renewed for season 3, and Modern Family was renewed for season 5.

UPDATE: Once Upon a Time in Wonderland, the Once Upon a Time spin off, was also ordered.
