The Avengers animatics artist Federico D’Alessandro has released some unused videos which show some interesting looks at Jarvis possibly being introduced as Ultron and a great scene with Tony Stark and Loki.

Update: These videos were taken down by the user and we do not have any replacement videos. If we’re able to get official videos we will upload them.

Federico D’Alessandro is responsible for essentially storyboarding sequences that would later take place in The Avengers. The artist creates videos using drawings, which are later shown to director Joss Whedon, and this gives the director a way to show actors what they may be looking for in a shot.

These videos include scenes that didn’t end up making it into the film, but one shows Iron Man fighting a totally new superhero/baddie, and another shows Loki playing mind games with Tony Stark. Check out the videos thanks to Federico D’Alessandro via CBM.

This is supposedly an intro to showing Iron Man in The Avengers, which we now know was done by showing him underwater while he cut Stark Tower off from the power grid. It shows Tony battling a new foe, which has no arms or legs.

The second video shows Iron Man being introduced by joining the chase at SHIELD’s headquarters, where he’s trying to catch Loki, who is getting away with the tesseract through the tunnel. Of course in The Avengers, Iron Man was not included in this sequence and was introduced much later into the film.

Possibly the most interesting animatic is the one below. This shows Tony Stark talking with Loki during the scene where they are both in Stark Tower. Why it’s the most interesting is because there’s a scene with Stark and Jarvis where we start to see Jarvis acting somewhat “evil.”

This may be some foreshadowing of how Jarvis will turn into Ultron. Now, it’s unknown if Jarvis will turn into The Avengers: Age of Ultron’s villain, but it’s certainly an interesting look at what Jarvis truly thinks of Tony and the other Avengers. If you’re not quite familiar with the sequel’s villain, check out our Avengers: Age of Ultron guide.

In the final animatic, we see that it’s somewhat similar to what we saw in The Avengers‘ final act. There is an interesting moment though where a new character is revealed and it’s none other than Wasp. She can be seen 17 seconds into the video.

These videos are interesting to watch and it’s nice to see where the cast and crew start with a sequence and where it ends. It’s incredible what we end up seeing on the big screen when we see how it all started with some simple animatics drawn by a talented artist. Let us know what you think of the alternate scenes.
