The Avengers: Age of Ultron was set to hit theaters worldwide on May 1, but now its U.K. release date has been moved up to April 23.

It isn’t uncommon to see different release dates for blockbusters around the world, but Marvel had always seemed to intend to release Avengers: Age of Ultron around the world at the same time.

May 1 has always been the official release date, but now it’s been announced that the film will land in the UK and Ireland on April 23. The official Marvel U.K. Twitter handle released the tweet seen below:

While it only results in a seven day difference between the U.K. release date and the U.S. release date, it leaves seven days for fans of The Avengers’ sequel to get spoiled online. In the age we live in, where a lot of our lives revolve around social media and the internet, it’s almost impossible to avoid every spoiler.

This is especially true with a movie of this size when it’s released outside of the States nearly a week earlier than its original release date. We’re happy that our U.K. fans get a chance to see Age of Ultron early, but everyone else looking to avoid spoilers should be careful after The Avengers: Age of Ultron hits theaters on April 23.

Marvel has been able to keep a lot of things under wraps for this film, which is unusual, and we don’t even have a first look at The Vision, other than some concept art that’s been leaked by merchandising companies.

It’ll be a long week, but we imagine it’ll be difficult to avoid having the sequel spoiled unless we shut off our Twitter and Facebook feeds. It’s exciting, but it’s also a reminder that it’s very easy to read one comment and have a movie spoiled, so be on the lookout after the film gets closer to both release dates.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron U.S. release date is still set for May 1, 2015, with its follow-up being Avengers: Infinity War, which has been split into two parts and will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.
