Marvel have released the first Avengers: Age of Ultron TV spot, which shows some new footage of the Hulk fighting Iron Man.

While we hoped there would be an Avengers: Age of Ultron TV spot or trailer during this Sunday’s Super Bowl, it looks like Marvel decided to release the film’s first TV spot early. Watch as Ultron sets out to tear the Avengers apart from the inside, and a tortured Hulk battles Iron Man on a busy street.

Most of this TV spot’s footage is from trailers we’ve already seen for the highly anticipated Avengers’ sequel, but there does seem to be at least one quick shot from the Hulkbuster battle.

Marvel also released some new HD images from the film today, which gave us some excellent looks at Captain America and Black Widow’s new suits, so be sure to check those out if you missed them earlier today.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron’s first trailer was incredibly well-received, with a much darker tone than expected, and the second trailer followed a similar tone when it was released less than two weeks ago.

While this TV spot continues to use a similar ominous tone, director Joss Whedon has revealed previously that fans can expect to see comedic sequences similar to what we first saw in Marvel’s original blockbuster.

Expect to see an enormous amount of new promotion for Avengers: Age of Ultron during the next three months, as we approach the film’s worldwide release in May. The Avengers’ sequel is turning out to be the most anticipated movie of 2015, especially for Marvel fans, and the studio will be going all out with Age of Ultron promotion during the coming months.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron U.S. release date is set for May 1, 2015, with its follow-up being Avengers: Infinity War, which has been split into two parts and will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.

Whedon recently confirmed that he won’t be returning to direct either of the two Infinity War films, but didn’t say that he wouldn’t return for other Marvel films in the future.

Many hoped to see him in the directing chair for one of Marvel’s solo female superhero films, since he’s proven to have had success with similar projects in the past, but for now it seems Age of Ultron is the last time we’ll be seeing him working with Marvel until he takes some time away from the studio.
