Despite the fact that The Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer leaked earlier, it appears the studio is ecstatic, considering it broke previous records with 34.3 million viewers.

During Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. this past Tuesday, it was revealed that The Avengers: Age of Ultron’s first trailer would premiere during the October 28 episode next week.

Of course fans were incredibly excited to finally see the first footage from The Avengers sequel, but on Wednesday the trailer was leaked early, forcing Marvel to release the official trailer.

One would think the studio would be disappointed that the trailer they planned on boosting their TV show’s ratings with leaked, but it seems they’re fairly happy now since it’s broken records with a massive 34.3 million viewers. Check out the film’s official logo:

Iron Man 3’s trailer held the previous record for most views in the first 24 hours (for Marvel), with just over 14 million, so Age of Ultron is on a path of epic proportions. So while the original trailer was set to air during Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. on October 28, we’re now going to be greeted with an “exclusive piece” from Age of Ultron. Read Marvel’s official announcement below:

“Tune in to “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.” this Tuesday, October 28 at 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC to see an exclusive piece from Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron.” Then, on Tuesday, November 4 at 9:00 p.m. ET on ABC, tune into “Marvel 75 Years: From Pulp to Pop!” for another taste of Marvel’s “Avengers: Age of Ultron” — and much more!”

Marvel still wants fans to know that new footage will be shown during the next episode of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., which means we’re getting more than we originally expected.

Leave it to Marvel to turn a leaked trailer into a positive. The Avengers: Age of Ultron’s trailer was incredibly well received, and we look forward to the bonus material which will premiere on Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. October 28.
