Marvel released the second Avengers: Age of Ultron trailer last night, so today we’re taking a look at some of the most exciting moments from the trailer in GIF form.

Avengers: Age of Ultron’s new trailer continued the ominous tone of the first trailer, but we saw some very exciting footage, including a look at some characters we don’t know much about yet.

Let’s speculate on what we’re in for when the sequel is released this May.

Ultron will be able to fire plasma beams

In this shot we see Ultron firing what looks to be a plasma beam. What’s interesting is in another shot below we see Scarlet Witch firing a similar shot, which is shown to throw Iron Man into a metal door. We think this might be some editing trickery, and it will be Ultron’s plasma bolt that will be throwing Stark back.

Iron Man gets his ass handed to him again

Like we mentioned above, this edit seems to make it look like Scarlet Witch is the one who blows Iron Man back with a red plasma bolt, but it’s very possible that it’s Ultron who delivers the blow. Trailers can be very deceptive with their edits, and we think that’s what is happening here.

Iron Man will be taking a trip somewhere chilly

This is one of the greatest shots from the trailer, as we see Iron Man in his new suit landing in what looks to be a very remote location. As he lands he uses his repulsors to help him as he lands in this snowy location. It’s a quick shot, but it shows some incredible CGI, and we see that Stark will be back in the action again.

Ultron’s army disrupts the Avengers’ party

We saw part of this shot in the first Age of Ultron trailer, but in the new trailer we get to see Ultron’s eyes light up on a table of scrap metal. This lets us know that he seems to turn himself on, after being tinkered on by Stark and Banner.

Bruce Banner and Stark know Ultron’s name before he introduces himself

We know based on the synopsis that Banner and Stark accidentally create Ultron, or at least turn him on, but in this shot it shows that the two are familiar with the robot and even know his name. This is interesting, as it tells us that there must be some backstory before Ultron introduces himself to the rest of the Avengers. We’re very excited to find out how Banner and Stark deal with the fact that they indirectly cause all of this destruction.

Ultron’s minions cause destruction in the streets

We got a lot of looks at Ultron’s minions in the new trailer, and this one shows us that Ultron has no problems letting them run wild in the streets destroying anything in their path. Ultron’s army of minions will be a pivotal part of the sequel, and while it could get confusing with so many flying around, it looks very exciting.

Iron Man and Hulk’s fight will be the best

While the Avengers will be battling Ultron in the film, this fight that Marvel has been teasing between Hulk and Iron Man looks incredible. In this shot we see Iron Man about to punch Hulk as he approaches and then Hulk whips something around and just smashes Iron Man. In a shot below we find out why the Hulk is fighting his good friend.

Thor is going to light it up in Asgard

Thor is a great part of these films, because we often forget that he has magical abilities that aren’t bound by our natural laws that the other Avengers have to abide by. In this shot Thor looks like he’s getting hit with lightning, but we imagine he’s actually building it up to launch an attack. There’s also a scantily clad woman to his right, which makes us think he’s actually in Asgard during this scene.

Iron Man and Hulk’s fight will be hilarious, and long

Iron Man drags the Hulk through the streets during what must be a fairly long fight sequence. Either it’s long, or they’ve shown us nearly the entire fight during the film’s first two trailers. No matter what, this fight will be one of the more exciting sequences to watch on the big screen.

Hulk’s eyes are very telling

We finally know that the Hulk is being controlled by someone during his fight with Iron Man. There’s hints of red in the corner of his eyes, which makes us think it could be Scarlet Witch in control of the green beast, but it’s also possible that Ultron has found a way to turn the two best buds against one another.

Cap will need his helmet for this one

Rogers grabs his helmet in this shot, which has been redesigned. Captain America is becoming a larger part of these films, and we imagine he’ll become very important in this film as we head towards his third solo film, Civil War. He and Iron Man will be co-starring in the threequel, and we’re excited to find out if Age of Ultron is when they part ways.

The mystery woman has everyone speculating

This unique character comes out of nowhere in the Avengers: Age of Ultron second trailer. We believe it to be a woman, and she will most likely be a queen or princess from Wakanda, which is where the Black Panther is from.

It’s also where vibranium is mined, which is what Ultron will eventually coat his entire body with and be nearly indestructible. We don’t know who will be playing the character, but a lot of fans were reminded of Lupita Nyong’o.

Overall, The Avengers: Age of Ultron’s second trailer was incredibly exciting, despite continuing its ominous tone, and we look forward to seeing the film when it hits theaters on May 1, 2015.
