Marvel have released 16 new Avengers: Age of Ultron images in high-res, featuring director Joss Whedon behind the scenes with Scarlett Johansson, Jeremy Renner, and Robert Downey Jr.

While we’ve seen a lot of these images before in low resolution, including screenshots from Avengers: Age of Ultron’s trailers, it’s always nice when Marvel officially releases stills from the upcoming Avengers’ sequel. Check out all of the cast (minus The Vision) in 16 official stills below:

We expect to see an enormous amount of new promotion for Avengers: Age of Ultron during the next three months, as we approach the film’s worldwide release in May. The Avengers’ sequel is turning out to be the most anticipated movie of 2015, especially for Marvel fans, and the studio will be going all out with Age of Ultron promotion during the coming months.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron U.S. release date is set for May 1, 2015, with its follow-up being Avengers: Infinity War, which has been split into two parts and will be directed by Anthony and Joe Russo.

Whedon recently confirmed that he won’t be returning to direct either of the two Infinity War films, but didn’t say that he wouldn’t return for other Marvel films in the future.

Many hoped to see him in the directing chair for one of Marvel’s solo female superhero films, since he’s proven to have had success with similar projects in the past, but for now it seems Age of Ultron is the last time we’ll be seeing him working with Marvel until he takes some time away from the studio.

Let us know what you think of The Avengers: Age of Ultron’s official stills. We look forward to seeing Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver on the big screen, along with actor Paul Bettany as The Vision. Look for some TV spots to land online in the coming weeks.
