Marvel have released the first footage from The Avengers: Age of Ultron at Comic-Con 2014 and we were in attendance of the teaser.

Update: Read the first official plot synopsis for The Avengers: Age of Ultron

The three to four minute preview kicked off with all the Avengers together during a party. Everyone is drinking and in happy spirits. Having a little fun as they usually do, Iron Man is trying to lift Thor’s hammer but can’t. He grabs Iron Man’s hand and still can’t pull it up.

Thor is enjoying watching all the Avengers try. Bruce Banner can’t do it either, even after he jokingly tries to turn into Hulk. Captain America is almost able to pull it up and it scares Thor. All of these little moments drew big laughs from the crowd.

Thor then says they’re all not worthy of holding his hammer, and the party gets disrupted by the film’s villain: Ultron.

We transition to a montage of war clips, some of which are in snow-covered areas. “This is the end. The end of the path,” Iron Man says. He’s wearing the Hulkbuster armor in one scene. In another shot we see Captain America’s shield… broken. Quicksilver (Aaron Taylor-Johnson) and Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen) make appearances as well.

“There are no strings on me,” Ultron says at the end, suggesting that this new villain can’t be controlled. Then we see Iron Man looking at Captain America, Thor, and a ton of other people dead on the ground. What. the. hell.
