Disney has announced via press release that The Avengers: Age of Ultron DVD and Blu-ray will be released on October 2.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron’s DVD and Blu-ray press release has revealed many exciting things about Marvel’s massive hit. First, check out the Blu-ray trailer below, which talks a little bit more about the Infinity Stones, which will be the focus of the two-part Avengers: Infinity War.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron Blu-ray will include the following bonus features:

· Never-Before-Seen Deleted Scenes

· Making-of Featurettes

· Gag Reel

· Audio Commentary

The bonus features reveal that there won’t be a director’s cut, which many fans had hoped for, due to the fact that some of the characters’ stories felt like they were incomplete. Even Joss Whedon mentioned the fact that he was forced to cut footage from the film that he wanted to include.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron didn’t reach the enormous success that the studio was hoping for, but it still took in $1.393 billion worldwide, just below The Avengers’ $1.519 billion at the worldwide box office.

The deleted scenes will hopefully include some more information on Thor’s trip into the water well, where he figured out that The Vision would be the only way they could defeat Ultron. The gag reels always seem to be well shot and include the hilarity that ensues during the filming of these massive projects.

The Avengers: Age of Ultron’s DVD and Blu-ray will be released on October 2, with its Digital and on-demand release set for September 8. We can’t wait to see the film in beautiful Blu-ray, and look forward to seeing what’s included in the Blu-ray bonus features.
