The original plan for the sequels to the James Cameron hit, Avatar, was to film them at the same time and release the second in December 2014 and the third in December 2015.

Producer Jon Landau now tells Empire that “2014 will be a tough date for us to make. It’s about getting it right… Movies make release dates; release dates don’t make movies.” The new plan is looking at pushing them both back a year to 2015 and 2016.

We do know that they have started working on the project, and, for those who don’t know, it’s said to have a lot to do under water.
