Aug. 7

David Archuleta – Begin

David Archuleta may be on a Mormon mission for the next two years, but his fans don’t have long to wait for the American Idol alum’s next album – Begin. Archuleta covers songs by Keane, Cyndi Lauper, U2, and Christina Aguilera among others in the new album, but does offer one new original song – “Broken.” Preview Begin below.

Yellowcard – Southern Air

Yellowcard follows up 2011’s When You’re Through Thinking, Say Yes with Southern Air, the band’s sixth studio album, featuring guest vocals from We Are The In Crowd’s Taylor Jardine, All Time Low’s Alex Gaskarth and Cassadee Pope. Yellowcard has been touring the country as part of Van’s Warped Tour and will hit the road again, visiting 22 U.S.cities, starting Nov. 2 in Las Vegas. Aug. 21

Owl City – The Midsummer Station

Owl City’s fourth studio album, The Midsummer Station, has been getting attention for “Good Time” – a duet with Carly Rae Jepsen – but the album will also feature four songs from his Shooting Star EP, including a duet with Blink-182’s Mark Hoppus. Listen to “Dementia” below.

Owl City will tour to promote The Midsummer Station starting Sept. 5 in Nashville before going international in mid-October.

Trey Songz – Chapter V

Trey Songz teams up with Young Jeezy and Lil’ Wayne, T.I., Diddy and Meek Mill for his fifth studio album, Chapter V. Listen to “Hail Mary” below.

Alanis Morissette – Havoc and Bright Lights

New wife and mother Alanis Morissette follows up 2008’s Flavors of Entanglement with her eighth album, Havoc and Bright Lights. “This record, as always, is a snapshot of what I currently obsess about, care about, and what strikes me at 4 in the morning in my most introspective moments,” the “You Oughta Know’ singer said in a statement to Billboard. “It is my emotional, psychological, social and philosophical commentary through song.”
