In what we can assume was a major mishap on Ubisoft’s part, the premiere trailer for the recently announced Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag has hit the web. Check out when the game will hit store shelves, and for what consoles!

As is stated in the leaked trailer, the game will come out on October 29, 2013 for the PS3, PS4, Wii U,  Xbox 360, PC, and “next-gen consoles.”

Watch the trailer for the hotly anticipated game below!

The trailer features Blackbeard, a pirate notorious in many swashbuckling tales, speaking of a man called Edward Kenway.

There are multiple scenes of Edward shooting pirates, fighting adversaries with swords, and even a violent hidden blade assassination at the end. Also, we can’t help but notice what a womanizer Edward seems to be.

More recently, Assassin’s Creed IV was rumored to be set in the Caribbean, in that a promotional poster for the game was reportedly leaked by Kotaku. Ubisoft followed up days later with a confirmation of the sixth title in the Assassin’s Creed series, along with an official poster for the sequel.

What do you think about the latest installment of the Assassin’s Creed series? Does Edward look like just the right assassin for you, or do you wish the series took a different approach with their protagonist?
