The end is near for Netflix originals Ashley Garcia: Genius in Love and The Big Show Show.

Netflix has decide not to renew Ashley Garcia: Genius in Love and The Big Show Show for additional seasons.

Though neither series has been renewed, there’s a bit of a silver lining that comes along with word of cancellation for fans of each series.

According to Deadline, Netflix plans to end the run of each series with one more episode. Specifically, each series will get its very own Christmas episode, which will hit the streamer this coming December.

One thing that Deadline notes as well, however, is that the Christmas specials don’t necessarily serve as series finales given that they were filmed before the current coronavirus pandemic hit.

With that in mind, it’ll be interesting to hear from fans with regards to whether or not they think the Christmas episodes for Ashley Garcia and The Big Show Show serve as satisfying conclusions for the series in question.

Shortly after news of the cancellation broke, The Big Show Show creator Jason Berger took to Twitter to thank the cast, the crew, and most importantly the fans for their support of the show.

“On behalf of the staff, cast, and crew of #thebigshowshow…thank you to everyone who watched either with your family or alone in your basement,” tweeted Berger, who co-created the series with Josh Bycel. “Netflix was a dream to work with AND we had a blast making the show. Rare air! Please take care of each other!”
