With the suspension of executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, more Arrowverse stars and even writers are speaking up.

Previously, Supergirl stars Melissa Benoist and Chyler Leigh and Arrow star Emily Bett Rickards released messages commenting on Kreisberg’s suspension by Warner Bros. TV Group after sexual harassment allegations. Now, more members of the Arrowverse are putting out statements.

First, Caity Lotz, who plays Sara Lance on Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow, tweeted the following support for victims:

“To the brave women and men who are coming forward to condemn their abusers… I add my voice to the choir of support.” She adds, “You are the ones ushering in change that would allow all of us to work in an environment where we are respected and safe.”

The Flash star Grant Gustin put out the following statement on Instagram: “I can sometimes forget that I live in a world where not everyone has the same rights and privileges as I do. I realize that [i]t’s my privilege that makes me forget.”

He adds, “Hearing of different men, again and again, especially in the industry that I work in, treating women as if they are less than, and both physically and emotionally abusing them has become a daily occurrence. This is not ok. This can’t become our new normal.”

Arrow star Stephen Amell posted a video on Facebook discussing the subject, in which he specifically mentions and echoes the sentiments of the statements made by Emily Bett Rickards, Caity Lotz and Melissa Benoist:

Additionally, David Ramsey, who plays John Diggle on Arrow, tweeted his support of his costars Emily Bett Rickards and Melissa Benoist:

Chris Wood, who plays Mon-El on Supergirl tweeted, “Supergirl, at its core, is about women. Strong, brilliant, capable, compassionate women who fight for what is right and stand up against injustice. It is a shame that the stories we tell and the words we say don’t seem to be resonating with everyone behind the scenes.”

He adds, “I’m tired of seeing men taking advantage of an aged and tired concept of alpha-elitism. Without the public shaming of this behavior–this industry-wide standard of stubborn and often angry sexism–those perpetuating the problem can continue to behave like cavemen.”

And the Twitter account for the Legends of Tomorrow writers’ room declared, “We, the writing staff on ‘Legends of Tomorrow,’ want to express our full and unequivocal support and respect for of the women and men who have come forward to condemn those who abuse their power.”

The statement continues, “We are a room proud not only of our diverse voices and mutual love and respect for each other, but also of the inclusive stories we tell. We hope the stories we tell convey the values we hold dearest to our hearts. Our goal as a writers’ room has always been to create a safe and respectful space for all who work in it.”
