This week’s Arrowverse episodes were Supergirl 3×05 “Damage,” The Flash 4×05 “Girls Night Out,” Legends of Tomorrow 3×05 “Return of the Mack” and Arrow 6×05 “Deathstroke Returns.” We recap the week in CW superheroes!

‘Supergirl’ 3×05 ‘Damage’

When kids start dropping with symptoms of lead poisoning, Morgan Edge publicly blames Lena for putting lead in the atmosphere during the Daxamite invasion. With innocent children sick, public opinion quickly turns on Lena. And when she holds a press conference, a grieving mother shoots at her, and James takes a bullet in the shoulder.

Kara and Samantha join forces to prove Lena’s innocence; they continue to believe in her even when Lena loses faith in herself. After some hacking and detective work, they figure out that Edge put a chemical that mimics the symptoms of lead poisoning in a public pool.

Thinking like a Luthor, Lena confronts Edge and intends to shoot him, but she’s knocked unconscious and put on a chemical-packed cargo plane that is bound to crash in the reservoir. Supergirl rescues her then confronts Edge, but he proves she won’t act against him. By the end of this episode, I really miss Maxwell Lord.

Meanwhile, Alex and Maggie have gone in endless circles about the kids issue. Maggie will never want kids, while Alex always will. Though the two tearfully try to put off the inevitable, they both realize they will only hold each other back together. So Maggie moves out with the parting words that Alex will make a great mother.

With her sister hurting, Kara calls into the DEO to take a few days off; she and Alex are headed home. Oh, and Samantha discovers she is bulletproof.

‘The Flash’ 4×05 ‘Girls Night Out’

It’s time for the bachelor and bachelorette parties. Cisco’s plans for an understated affair is overtaken by Ralph, who takes the group to his favorite strip club. Barry gets hilariously drunk while Ralph uses his new abilities to steal from the staff, which results in a fight that leaves Barry, Joe, Cisco and Ralph in jail. Oh, and Cecile’s daughter is stripping at the club because hashtag feminism. Or something.

Meanwhile, Felicity arrives for Iris’s party, which is meant to be a nice dinner out. However, the dinner is interrupted when Norvok arrives and demands Caitlin come see their boss, crime lord Amunet Black. Killer Frost comes out to play, and when she goes to meet with Amunet, Iris, Felicity and Cecile follow.

Amunet has kidnapped a meta, the Weeper, whose tears produce a hardcore love drug. She wants Killer Frost to continue working as her muscle, but Killer Frost wants out. Iris pulls Killer Frost away, but Amunet isn’t giving up on her favorite henchwoman, who started working for her when Caitlin was looking for a way to control her frosty side.

Eventually, the girls track down Amunet to a warehouse where she’s going to sell the Weeper. Iris and Felicity are captured, but Killer Frost interrupts. And when Cecile separates Amunet from her metal ammunition with a giant magnet, Iris talks Killer Frost down from killing the crime lord. Back at S.T.A.R. Labs, Caitlin reveals the truth to the entire team.

‘Legends of Tomorrow’ 3×05 ‘Return of the Mack’

There’s a vampire loose in London in 1895. Or a creepy cult resurrecting the dead. There, the Legends reunite with Rip, who is hunting a big evil named Mallus off the Time Bureau clock. The Legends hesitantly agree to work with him.

Nate is kidnapped and taken to the headquarters of the creepy cult, one member of which is Stein’s ancestor. When Sara and Rip rescue Nate, they discover the cult intends to resurrect Damien Darhk. While Sara wants to make sure Darhk stays dead, Rip wants to use the ceremony to get to Mallus. He locks the team on the Waverider and goes on the mission himself. He tries to interrupt the ceremony, but it’s too late.

Darhk is resurrected with all his magic and memories. He kills the Time Bureau agents Rip called in and nearly kills Rip as well, but the Legends arrive in time to save him. Darhk and the woman who helped resurrect him then disappear via some kind of magic.

Unable to take Rip’s repeated betrayals, Sara calls in the Time Bureau. Agent Sharpe promises she’s not interested in the Legends, while Rip warns Sara that the Legends need to be ready for the upcoming war.

Meanwhile, Ray and Jax start working on a way to break up Firestorm. Stein finds out and is initially hurt, but he eventually comes around and is grateful to Jax for doing something like this so he can be with his family.

‘Arrow’ 6×05 ‘Deathstroke Returns’

Arrow is definitely better when Slade Wilson is on screen, and his return this week as he searches for his son with Oliver’s help is no exception. Slade’s son has been arrested in Kasnia as a spy, so bringing Oliver along provides a potential diplomatic solution.

However, the warden in Kasnia claims that Slade’s son died. Slade is heartbroken, but when they return to the prison so Slade can see his son’s body, the warden reveals that a terrorist group called the Jackals kidnapped him because of the secrets he knows has a spy.

Slade goes looking for his son. Cue a killer (pun intended) fight sequence as Slade lets no one get in his way in his search for his son. Turns out, however, that one of Slade’s former allies is working for the Jackals — which is led by Slade’s son. Oliver follows Slade and arrives in time to see the big reveal.

Back in Star City, Vigilante is back and targeting the councilwoman who put forth the anti-vigilante legislation. When Dinah cracks Vigilante’s visor with her Canary Cry, he takes his mask off and reveals himself to be a scarred and half-blind version of her late partner. The particle accelerator made him a meta, and now he’s indestructible.

Dinah struggles with this reveal, as she spent four years thinking he was dead. She became a completely different person as she sought revenge for his death. And now he’s alive and killing people. But when he takes a bullet for her, he proves that there is some part of his old self left.
