This year’s Arrowverse crossover, which will feature characters from Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Legends of Tomorrow, has been entitled “Crisis on Earth-X.”

The title references the myriad “crisis” events that have cropped up in the DC Universe since 1985’s The Crisis on Infinite Earths brought DC heroes from across time and space together to fight a villain known as the Anti-Monitor.

Artist Phil Jimenez was commissioned to draw a comic book-style cover that celebrates the event, which will air across two nights, November 27-28:

“We conceived this year’s crossover to be evocative of the annual Justice League/Justice Society crossovers we grew up with and looked forward to as kids,” said executive producers Marc Guggenheim and Andrew Kreisberg.

“Phil was the perfect choice to bring the comic book cover iteration of this idea to life. You can count on one hand the number of artists who could compellingly represent so many characters in a single image. Phil is one of them. And his design invokes the cover of JUSTICE LEAGUE #207, which was the 20th Annual JLA/JSA crossover. Our ten-year-old selves are in heaven.”

It looks like the wedding between Barry and Iris will take place during the crossover, as both characters are in wedding regalia on the cover.

The image also features the Ray, who stars in his own digital animated series that is set on Earth-X, an alternate Earth in which the Nazis won World War II and the New Reichsmen rule over present-day America.

He will make his live action debut in the Arrowverse crossover, and The CW has already cast him.

Being Human and Quantico alum Russell Tovey will both portray the Ray in live action as well as lend his voice to the character in the animated series, which will air on CW Seed, reports TVLine.

The description for the character reads as follows:

Raymond “Ray” Terrill was a reporter who discovered a group of government scientists working on a secret project to turn light into a weapon of mass destruction. But before he could report on his findings, the project head exposed Ray to a “genetic light bomb.” The bomb failed to kill him and instead gifted Ray with light-based powers. With these abilities, Ray realized he could go beyond reporting on injustice — he could take action to help stop it. Calling himself The Ray, he was recruited by Uncle Sam and the Freedom Fighters to fight violence and oppression wherever it exists.

The big four-series Arrowverse crossover will begin Monday, November 27 with Supergirl at 8:00 p.m. ET and Arrow at 9:00 p.m. ET. It will conclude on Tuesday, November 28 with The Flash at 8:00 p.m. ET at Legends of Tomorrow at 9:00 p.m. ET.
