The promo for next week’s Arrow episode 1×12 “Vertigo” has been released. This episode features Fringe actor Seth Gabel as Count Vertigo.

Fringe‘s Seth Grabel will be guest starring as “The Count,” a dangerous drug dealer who will be Oliver Queen’s biggest threat yet. In the comics, Grabel’s character is known as Count Vertigo, but in Arrow he’ll just go as “The Count” while selling the drug Vertigo. The reason for this change is for the Nolan-esque realistic style Arrow utilizes. There’s no way Count Vertigo could have his powers in this adaptation of the Green Arrow story, so he’ll have his drug instead. We like the almost Joker-like crazed look that “The Count” has in the promo. He’ll make an interesting antagonist for Oliver to face.

Last week we also got the stills and synopsis for 1×12 “Vertigo”:

SETH GABEL (“FRINGE”) GUEST STARS WHILE THEA FACES PRISON TIME — Thea (Willa Holland) is in trouble with the police after she gets caught using a drug called “Vertigo.” Oliver (Stephen Amell) thinks the only way to keep her out of jail is to find the dealer, a man who goes by the name of “The Count” (guest star Seth Gabel). Oliver turns to McKenna Hall (guest star Janina Gavankar), an old flame and current Vice cop, for help. Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) steps in to defend Thea, and Felicity (guest star Emily Bett Rickards) gives Oliver some disturbing news about Moira (Susanna Thompson). David Ramsey, Colin Donnell and Paul Blackthorne also star. Wendey Stanzler directed the episode written by Wendy Mericle & Ben Sokolowski (#112).
