A.R.G.U.S.’s Task Force X, aka the Suicide Squad, will reunite with a slightly altered roster later this season on Arrow.

Despite an upcoming feature film about the same team, Arrow season 3, episode 17 will be titled “Suicidal Tendencies” and feature the return of the Suicide Squad.

The Suicide Squad, of course, is a group of criminals running high-risk, government-sanctioned missions in exchange for commuted sentences.

This episode will feature A.R.G.U.S. leader Amanda Waller (Cynthia Addai-Robinson), sniper Deadshot (Michael Rowe), and new team member Cupid (Amy Gumenick), who Oliver brought to the team after apprehending her earlier this season. However, Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White) will apparently be benched on this mission.

Lyla is also heavily involved in the Suicide Squad, so we’d be surprised if she didn’t appear in the episode. And considering Diggle’s ties to Lyla and Deadshot, his involvement in this plotline would also be unsurprising.

“Suicidal Tendencies” will also introduce a new character: Senator Cray, a corrupt politician. He will be played by Grey’s Anatomy and Revolution alum Steven Culp. Cray will play a central role “of a rescue operation in the fictional Republic of Kasnia.”

The character of Joe Cray comes from a John Ostrander run of DC’s Suicide Squad comics in which the senator used the squad for political gain.

We last saw members of the Suicide Squad in the Arrow season 2 finale, “Unthinkable,” when Starling City was under attack from Slade’s Mirakuru army.

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8:00 pm. ET on The CW.
