Arrow‘s seventh season is still over a month away, but we’re looking at five burning questions for the upcoming season.

Arrow season 7 will feature some major shakeups, both behind and in front of the camera. Beth Schwartz has taken over showrunning duties from Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle. Quentin Lance (Paul Blackthorne) died in the season 6 finale. Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) will return to Star City.

Oh, and the main character outed himself as the Green Arrow and was sent to prison.

The synopsis for Arrow season 7 reads:

There has been no shortage of close calls for Oliver Queen when it comes to protecting his Super Hero identity, but in the season six finale, he was finally backed into a corner and forced to reveal himself to the world as the Green Arrow. Now, Oliver will come face-to-face with many of the criminals he placed behind bars, as he makes a new home for himself at Slabside Maximum Security Prison. Oliver will find himself vulnerable in a way unlike ever before when a mysterious new enemy begins to unravel his work as Green Arrow, challenging him to redeem his name or risk losing everything.

With all this in mind, we’re looking at five of the biggest (but not only) questions we can’t wait to have answered.

Who is the mysterious new enemy?

According to the synopsis, “a mysterious new enemy begins to unravel his work as Green Arrow” while Oliver is in prison. This clearly isn’t Ricardo Diaz, who survived the season 6 finale, since he’s a known quantity. So, who is this new Big Bad coming in to cause problems? And why is he going after Oliver’s legacy as the Green Arrow?

How will Team Arrow deal with the new status quo?

Season 7 will pick up five months after the season finale, so we will be left to see not only how Oliver is coping with prison but how the remaining members of Team Arrow are dealing with the aftermath of his reveal.

While Diggle, Felicity, Dinah, Curtis and Rene received immunity in exchange for Oliver giving himself up, that immunity was only for past crimes. Any vigilante action moving forward won’t be written off so easily. And the FBI knows exactly who the members of the team were so will likely be keeping an eye on them.

At the end of season 6, Diggle was working with A.R.G.U.S. so can remain in the field, but that leaves the remaining team members to figure out exactly how to move forward.

And how does Roy fit into all of this, considering he left town with Thea, seemingly riding off into the sunset with Nyssa to destroy the remaining Lazarus Pits?

How will Diaz and the Longbow Hunters fit into the story?

Diaz teased in the season finale that he would be bringing in a new team of assassins: the Longbow Hunters. We did a rundown on the group, as they appear in the comics, here. On Arrow, the team will consist of Red Dart (Holly Elissa), Kodiak (Michael Jonsson) and Silencer (Miranda Edwards).

With Oliver revealing himself publicly as the Green Arrow and going to prison, how will Diaz and this group of killers fit into the story — especially with a mysterious new villain coming into the picture as well?

For the last few seasons, each half of the season has featured its own villain (season 5, for instance, saw Tobias Church in the first half while Prometheus was the main villain in the second half). Could Diaz and the Longbow Hunters be the first-half villains with the mysterious new villain arriving for the second half?

Will Black Siren continue her redemption arc?

Black Siren had a complicated season 6, first siding with Cayden James then Ricardo Diaz — though the latter’s brutality became too much for her. She also took on the late Earth-1 Laurel’s identity, putting herself in the public eye, and grew closer to Quentin. He continued trying to believe in the good in her, and she seemed truly shaken by his death.

So, what will Quentin’s death mean for her moving forward? Will she work to become the person Quentin believed she could be while using Earth-1 Laurel’s identity? Or will she fall into the darkness?

How will Oliver get out of prison?

Though his exit from prison is inevitable, Oliver won’t be getting out within the first few episodes of the season. We should expect his stay to last a fair amount of time — perhaps up to the crossover?

While in prison, Oliver is going to have a rough go of it. He’ll be behind bars with numerous villains that he helped put away, including Bronze Tiger (Michael Jai White), Derek Sampson (Cody Runnels) and Danny “Brick” Brickwell (Vinnie Jones). From the SDCC trailer, they won’t be the forgiving types.

So, when and how will Oliver get out of prison? Will he break out, or will he be released for some reason? And what will that mean for him acting as the Green Arrow?

Arrow season 7 premieres Monday, October 15 at 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
