The Arrow season 4 trailer has been released.

Update (September 11): The CW has released another trailer, this one about a minute long, that features some new footage not seen in the two-minute trailer below.

Watch the new trailer below:

This trailer focuses more on Oliver’s decision to return to Star (formerly Starling) City when Thea and Laurel arrive at the home he and Felicity have been living in together to ask for help. Oliver no longer wants to be the person he was as the Arrow with all the darkness that entailed, so Felicity encourages him to be a different kind of person.

Thus, Green Arrow.

Original story (September 4): Arrow star Stephen Amell posted the much-anticipated season 4 trailer to his Facebook page on Friday. After months of tidbits and images, we finally have footage — and it’s killer.

Watch the trailer below:

The trailer features our first look at Damien Darhk, who will serve as the main villain of season 4; the continued issues between Oliver and Diggle after their issues in season 3; and even John Constantine and the resurrection of Sara Lance. It also looks like Thea will still be dealing with issues from her revival via the Lazarus Pit.

Going in, we know that Arrow season 4 will have a lighter tone as Oliver continues his transition into a character more similar to his comic book counterpart. Says EP Andrew Kreisberg, “When the season starts, [Oliver’s] in much a better place. He’s happy. He’s in love. That feeling infuses all the characters. There’s a little bit more fun [and] more humor” in season 4.

Season 4 will also feature a new base of operations for Team Arrow, as the foundry is no longer an option for the growing vigilante group. “In designing the new lair, we had to think in terms of the much larger group that Oliver has now surrounded himself with and how Team Arrow is a much bigger enterprise,” explains EP Marc Guggenheim.

And then there is the highly anticipated crossover that will bring in Constantine from the canceled NBC series. He’ll be appearing to help with the resurrection of Sara Lance via the Lazarus Pit. Sara will, of course, go on to be a mainstay on DC’s Legends of Tomorrow.

Arrow season 4 premieres Wednesday, October 7 at 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
