Jeri Ryan will guest star in an episode of Arrow season 4.

Ryan will play a character named Jessica Danforth, who is described as “a friend of the Queen family.” Jessica’s “political ambitions will place her in the crosshairs of a menacing antagonist,” states the description.

Ryan will appear in Arrow season 4, episode 2, “The Candidate.” Notably, this is also the episode Mister Terrific and Anarky are also slated to first appear in. Could that “menacing antagonist” be Anarky?

Ryan’s other credits include Body of Proof, Leverage, The O.C. and Boston Public.

We previously reported on a couple of casting calls for Arrow season 4, and Jessica Danforth seems to fit one of them quite well. According to E! Online, Arrow was looking for a “big name” to guest star as Patty, a mayoral candidate who is deeply committed to her city and willing to risk her life to stand up for the people.

Since Jessica is appearing in an episode titled “The Candidate,” it makes sense that this casting call would fit her.

Beyond her connections to the Queen family, Patty was also described as a mother who “cares for her daughter above all else.” Now that we know Patty’s real name is Jessica Danforth, do we have any theories about who her daughter might be?

Also joining Arrow season 4 are Neal McDonough as Damien Darhk and Jimmy Akingbola as Baron Blitzkrieg.

Arrow season 4 premieres Wednesday, October 7 at 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
