Previously, Felicity’s mother arrived in town for a visit. However, matters were complicated when a hacker calling himself Brother Eye crippled the city with a super virus. Felicity, realizing she wrote the virus five years earlier, revealed her backstory to Team Arrow. It turns out, Brother Eye was Felicity’s ex-boyfriend, Cooper Seldon, who had faked his death while in prison to work with the NSA. Felicity, though, was able to rescue herself and her mother with some quick thinking and bravery.

And, as Laurel continued training with Ted Grant, Roy dreamed of the night of Sara’s murder — when he killed her.
