Arrow season 3, episode 2, titled “Sara,” airs tonight, as a new archer appears in Starling City.

Previously on ‘Arrow’

Five months passed since Slade’s defeat and Starling City’s crime rate has plummeted. At Diggle’s encouragement to seek happiness, Oliver finally asked Felicity to dinner, and she accepted. However, their date was interrupted by a rocket launched by Werner Zytle, who styled himself the new Vertigo.

Oliver decided that he can’t afford to be both Oliver Queen and the Arrow, causing his romance with Felicity to end before it could truly start. Meanwhile, Lyla gave birth to her and Diggle’s daughter and a new player, Ray Palmer, arrived on the scene and took control of Queen Consolidated.

In the episode’s final shocking moments, Sara returned to Starling but was confronted by a mysterious figure who shot her with three black arrows, knocking her off a roof and killing her.
