The Arrow cast shakeup continues, as Paul Blackthorne will not return for season 7.

Blackthorne plays Quentin Lance, father of Laurel and Sara Lance and current acting mayor of Star City, an original cast member from the first season of Arrow.

While Quentin’s relationship started out antagonistic with protagonist Oliver Queen in the earlier seasons of the show, the two have grown closer over the years.

The Hollywood Reporter announced Blackthorne’s departure.

Blackthorne’s exit follows the departure of fellow original cast member Willa Holland, who played Oliver’s sister, Thea.

Additionally, the current showrunners, Marc Guggenheim and Wendy Mericle, will step aside after season 6. Beth Schwartz will serve as showrunner in the previously-announced season 7.

Meanwhile, Colton Haynes will return in season 7 as a series regular, reprising his role as Roy Harper.

Caity Lotz, who plays his daughter Sara, will have a guest appearance in the Arrow season 6 finale. It seems likely now that her appearance will relate to Blackthorne’s departure from the series.

Arrow airs Thursdays at 9:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
