The CW is teaming up with the Arrow and The Flash bosses to develop another spinoff, only this one brings together fan favorite characters from both series.

The untitled project will bring together Brandon Routh, Victor Garber, Wentworth Miller, and Caity Lotz in what is being described as a “superhero team-up show.”

While Routh, Garber, and Miller will reprise their roles — as Arrow‘s Ray Palmer/Atom, The Flash‘s Dr. Martin Stein, and The Flash‘s Leondard Snart/Captain Cold, respectively — it’s unknown whether Lotz will reprise her role as Sara Lance/Canary, as the character died in the Arrow season 3 premiere.

This roster of characters is interesting, as there has been much speculation about an A.T.O.M. spinoff, starring Routh. However, Stein is one half of hero Firestorm, alongside Ronnie Raymond (Robbie Amell), so it’s interesting Stein appears solo in this project. Likewise, Snart is one of the Flash’s most infamous rogues, so it’s interesting he may be splitting from that series.

Because the series is still in early stages of development, reports indicate it’s possible that other Arrow or Flash characters may appear as well.

But, perhaps more interestingly, the series is set to include three major DC Comics characters who have never appeared in a television series.

The CW is looking at the Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg, and Marc Guggenheim-helmed project for next season. With these names involved, the series has been granted the distinct advantage of bypassing the pilot cycle all together. It may go straight to series, premiering mid-season next year.

Berlanti and Kreisberg are also executive producing CBS’s Supergirl, which already has a series commitment of its own.
