The cast continues to grow for the upcoming Arrow/The Flash spinoff.

Dominic Purcell, who plays Mick Rory/Heat Wave on The Flash, will be reprising his role on the untitled Arrow/The Flash spinoff. Purcell will join his fellow Prison Break alum Wentworth Miller (Leonard Snart/Captain Cold) on the superhero team-up series.

Also set to appear on the series are Arrow‘s Brandon Routh (Ray Palmer/Atom) and Caity Lotz (Sara Lance/Canary) and The Flash‘s Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein/half of Firestorm). The series will also feature three DC Comics heroes who have never been on television before as well as a villain who hasn’t been used yet.

Purcell and Miller joined forces for the first time since Prison Break ended on The Flash as a supervillain duo determined to bring down the Flash.

We can’t help but wonder if the inclusion of Purcell, Miller’s on-screen partner, leaves room for Garber’s counterpart to join the series as well; Robbie Amell’s absence has been curious, as he is the other half of Firestorm.

Another major question about the project is the capacity Lotz will appear in, as her character died in the Arrow season 3 premiere. However, according to executive producer Andrew Kreisberg, we should know more “by spring.”

Little else is known about the project, other than that it is likely to bypass pilot season all together and air next mid-season. Both the producers and actors have been quiet thus far. “We want to keep some surprises going, but we’re really excited about that series…. just to add another leg to the tripod, and complete it,” Kreisberg explained.

The Flash airs Tuesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET and Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET, both on The CW.
