The premiere dates for the new season of Arrow, as well as the much anticipated Arrow spinoff, The Flash, have been announced.

The CW announced today that The Flash will premiere ahead of Supernatural on Tuesday, October 7 at 8:00 p.m. ET. The third season of Arrow will premiere the next night, Wednesday, October 8 at 8:00 p.m.

An encore of the Flash pilot will air after the Arrow season premiere on Wednesday, October 8 at 9:00 p.m. ET. An encore of the second episode of The Flash will air after Arrow the following week at 9:00 p.m. ET as well before The 100 takes over the 9:00 p.m. ET spot on October 22.

The CW will also run encores of the Arrow episodes “The Scientist” and “Three Ghosts” at 8:00 and 9:00 p.m. ET respectively on Wednesday, October 1. Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) made his first appearance in these two episodes, so these encores serve as a refresher for fans the week before the Flash premiere.

Another date for Arrow fans to make note of is September 16, when Arrow: The Complete Second Season is released on DVD/Blu-ray.

The features of the set will include featurettes exploring Oliver’s journey from vigilante to hero, the visual effects, and the stunt sequences; episode commentaries; deleted scenes; and a gag reel.

In preparation for the Flash premiere, a fair amount of promotional material has already been released. The epic five-minute trailer gives us the most in-depth look at the series so far, while there have been short promotional videos posted on the show’s Facebook page, featuring Tom Cavanagh (Harrison Wells) and Candice Patton (Iris West).

Meanwhile, Arrow‘s second season ended with Oliver’s defeat of Slade while the flashbacks ended on a cliffhanger with Oliver finding himself face-to-face with Amanda Waller in Hong Kong.

For the new season, John Barrowman (Malcolm Merlyn) has been promoted to series regular. There are also casting calls out for four new recurring characters as the series begins repopulating.

The Flash premieres Tuesday, October 7 at 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.

Arrow season 3 premieres Wednesday, October 8 at 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
