Colton Haynes will reprise his role as Roy Harper on an upcoming episode of Arrow.

In season 3, Roy faked his death after claiming publicly to be the Arrow, freeing Oliver of the charges against him. He then went on to start a new life, though he left behind his Arsenal costume for Thea, who used it to become Speedy.

“We are beyond thrilled that Colton will be returning to Arrow this season,” Executive Producer Marc Guggenheim tells EW. “It was always our intention to have him return following his departure last season, but it was a matter of finding the right story line to pull it off. That opportunity presented itself in episode 412 and we can’t wait for the fans to see this reunion.”

No other details have been shared about Haynes’ return.

Haynes confirmed the news earlier today on Twitter:

With the return happening in season 4, episode 12, that will be after the set-up for Legends of Tomorrow and the winter finale. What might bring Roy back to town? It will likely have something to do with Thea, who is currently dealing with bloodlust resulting from her dip in the Lazarus Pit as well as dating Alex, the campaign manager on Oliver’s mayoral campaign.

Arrow airs Wednesdays at 8:00 p.m. ET on The CW.
