Arrow season 4, episode 13, “Sins of the Father,” is set to explore the relationships between fathers and daughters.

“Sins of the Father” will draw parallels between the relationships between Thea and Malcolm and Felicity and Noah Kuttler, aka The Calculator.

On the one hand, Thea is suffering the effects of not satiating the Lazarus Pit-induced bloodlust. Though Malcom wants her to kill criminals and Oliver considers making a deal with Damien Darhk, Thea wants to make her own choice — and neither choice is acceptable to her. After a farewell shared with Roy, Thea fell into a coma and does not have much time left.

Nyssa, however, arrived with a mystical plant that will solve Thea’s problem. The catch? Oliver must kill Malcolm Merlyn before she’ll hand it over.

Watch a clip of the team contemplating her offer below:

Diggle and Laurel have no qualms with the prospect of killing Malcolm Merlyn. After all, he destroyed half of the Glades in an earthquake that also killed his own son, he was involved in the sinking of the Queen’s Gambit, he drugged his own daughter and forced her to kill Sara Lance, and so the list goes.

Oliver, on the other hand, is reluctant to kill Malcolm because of his connection to Thea. What Oliver seems to forget is that Malcolm may be Thea’s biological father, but she was raised by Robert Queen.

Meanwhile, Felicity was reunited with her father at the end of the previous episode. He’s been out of her life for a long time, but he’s back and hoping to connect with his daughter.

Watch a clip of the two out to dinner below:

That’s right; Papa Smoak is The Calculator, who was blackmailing Roy, and he knows Felicity’s big secret. Considering Kuttler is a life-long criminal and Felicity is a member of a team of superheroes, that can’t be a good thing.

“Sins of the Father” looks like an appropriate episode title, as neither father in question is a good man.
