Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice director Zack Snyder originally released the first image of actor Jason Momoa as Aquaman, but now it’s available without the text that covered a lot of his body.

Fans of the Game of Thrones star thought Momoa looked incredible as Aquaman when this image was originally released back in February, as he sported his battle armor for a solo film set to hit theaters July 27, 2018. We’ll be seeing him before that in Batman v Superman and Justice League, so check out the massive star as Aquaman below without text.

In case you missed the first Aquaman poster (which is the same as this one despite the text), it included the quote, “Unite the seven,” which was a nod to either the seven seas, or the seven members of the Justice League. Fans had been concerned about Momoa being cast as the normally blonde haired, blue eyed king of the oceans, but we’re still liking this unique look. The tattoos certainly give off an original take on the character’s golden, scale-armor.

Aquaman’s storyline will reportedly come from the World Engine causing damage to the seas and, more specifically, the Indian Ocean, during Man of Steel’s final battle sequence, which saw Superman and Zod destroy quite a bit of Earth’s terrain and oceans.

While Momoa will make an appearance in Dawn of Justice, he is set to have a much larger role in Justice League when it hits theaters May, 2017. We look forward to finding out what Aquaman’s storylines will be like, as he’s always been seen as one of the more difficult characters to get on the big screen, considering he’s supposed to be mainly at sea.
