Aquaman’s theatrical release is so close, and Warner Bros. is keeping the Atlantean hype going with the release of the flick’s final trailer.

James Wan’s Aquaman standalone film is nearly in theaters, and Warner Bros. released a final trailer with loads of new footage of Atlantis to get us ready for the epic, aquatic adventure.

Not only do we get more footage of a young Arthur Curry (Jason Momoa) training to be the badass he becomes as an adult and a super-fast look at Queen Atlanna (Nicole Kidman) kicking ass above the water, but we also get a lot of gorgeous new glimpses into some of the underwater battle sequences we can expect to see in the movie.

Aquaman is Momoa’s first standalone outing as Arthur Curry, the half-human, half-Atlantean hero that many of us fell in love with in Batman v Superman and Justice League. This film will follow Arthur as he teams with Atlantean warrior and princess Mera (Amber Heard) to stop Arthur’s half-brother Orm (Patrick Wilson) from instigating a war with the surface world.

This final trailer gives us our best look to date of the colorful, visually captivating world of Atlantis, and how the action sequences under the sea will contrast the equally as badass fight scenes above the water.

Aquaman certainly has a different look and feel from many of the other films in the DCEU, and we’re excited to see how Arthur Curry’s first standalone adventure will help build out the DCEU as the studio is working to restructure the heroes, stories, and films.

Aquaman will release in theaters on December 21, but those with Amazon Prime get a unique treat, getting access to advanced screenings in select theaters on December 15. So mark your calendars and get ready to watch Arthur Curry become the hero Atlantis deserves when Aquaman hits theaters this December.
