Physical fans can rest easy knowing that season 2 is officially on the way over at Apple TV+!
On Wednesday (August 4), Apple TV+ announced that it has renewed Physical for season 2.
Described as a dark comedy, the series was created by Annie Weisman and centers on Shiela Rubin (Rose Byrne)— a housewife living in San Diego in the 1980s who turns to the world of aerobics as an outlet to battle her personal demons with.
Her passion for aerobics coupled with the burgeoning technology of videotapes offers Sheila the tools she needs to start a revolutionary business that completely changes her life.

News of the season 2 renewal comes just as Physical’s season 1 finale is slated to debut via Apple TV+ this Friday, August 6.
In. A statement announcing the exciting news, Michelle Lee (director fo Domestic Programming, Apple TV+) spoke of how excited the studio is to see Weisman to continue bringing audiences more episodes of the critically acclaimed dark comedy.
“We have been thrilled to see audiences around the world fall in love and feel seen by this show and we can’t wait for everyone to experience the next chapter in Sheila’s journey towards personal empowerment,” said Lee.
The final episode of Physical season 1 debuts this Friday, August 6 on Apple TV+.
