Today is one of those rare opportunities where you’ll be able to watch Apple’s keynote event live.
Apple is holding an event in San Francisco at 1 PM ET/10 AM PT and is largely expected to unveil a smaller version of their 10-inch iPad. The new iPad is set to be 7.85 inches, cost $329, and be very thin. Apple’s said to have been working on this product to compete with other 7-inch tablets on the market, of which there are many.
Other rumors call for a retina display 13-inch MacBook Pro, more information about the new iTunes, and possibly an updated version of the existing iPad.
We’ll have a round-up of today’s announcements once they’re made. To watch the event live, visit this page at 1 PM ET/10 AM PT. Watching the event requires Safari 4 or later on Mac OS X 10.6 or later, Safari on iOS 4.2 or later, or Apple TV second or third generation with software 5.0.2 or later. In other words, you need an Apple product running up-to-date software. There is no solution for Windows users.
It’s been years since Apple last live streamed one of their product unveiling events.
