Ant-Man 3 has found its newest cast member in actor Jonathan Majors.

According to Deadline, Lovecraft Country vet Jonathan Majors is the latest actor to join the cast of Marvel’s highly anticipated third installment of its Ant-Man franchise.

Majors is reportedly set to take on a lead role in Ant-Man 3, which finds actors Paul Rudd and Evangeline Lily returning to reprise their roles as Scott Lang/Ant-Man and Hope van Dyne/The Wasp, respectively.

Neither Disney nor Marvel have commented on who Majors is set to play in the forthcoming threequel, but a source close to the project says that the Da 5 Blods star could be taking on the role of Kang the Conqueror.

In the comics, Kang the Conqueror starts off as Nathaniel Richards— a 31st century scholar who discovers Victor von Doom’s time travel technology, and subsequently uses it to travel through time. Over the course of his appearances in the Marvel comics, Kang the Conqueror squares off against quite a few of the Avengers.

News surrounding production on Ant-Man 3 has been few and far between. Earlier this year, we learned that the threequel had officially found its screenwriter in Rick and Morty scribe Jeff Loveness. Even so, both Marvel and Disney are keeping plot details surrounding the third movie close to the chest for now.

Returning to them the third film in the franchise is Peyton Reed, who also helmed the first two films in the series.

Ant-Man 3 is slated to hit the big screen sometime in 2022.
