Ansel Elgort may have just found his next big gig in Warner Bros. project Dungeons and Dragons!

Ansel Elgort has been a big hit in YA adaptations such as The Fault in Our Stars and Divergent, but now it looks like he’s aiming for something a bit more grown up. According to Deadline Elgort is in early talks to star in the upcoming Dungeons and Dragons film!

The script for the film was written by David Leslie Johnson. While the film will be produced by Brian Goldner and Stephen Davis of Hasbro, Courtney Solomon and Allan Zeman of Sweetpea Entertainment, and Roy Lee, it’s also set to be directed by Rob Letterman.

Last summer Warner Bros. and Hasbro made the announcement that they would be working together on the project. Greg Silverman, President, Creative Development and Worldwide Production, Warner Bros. Pictures stated, “We are so excited about bringing the world of Dungeons & Dragons to life on the big screen. This is far and away the most well-known brand in fantasy, which is the genre that drives the most passionate film followings. D&D has endless creative possibilities, giving our filmmakers immense opportunities to delight and thrill both fans and moviegoers new to the property.”

With no details on the plot of the film it’s hard to tell if it will be a box office hit like Warner Bros. is hoping. However, if Elgort is actually brought on to star in the film, we’re definitely more intrigued!
