Season 9 runner-up Crystal Bowersox has been dropped by both her label and her management after disappointing sales of her debut album.

Bowersox’s debut album, Farmer’s Daughter, debuted in December 2010 to strong critical acclaim and sold over 205,000 copies. But apparently that wasn’t enough for the label and management as she has officially been dropped from both.

Bowersox tells TVLine.com:

“I’m not worried about where I’m gonna be. I’m gonna be making music, if it’s on my own label or if it’s with somebody else. I’d love to work with ATO, Dave Matthews’ label. We’ll see what happens.”

We love Crystal’s positive attitude about the situation! Seems like if you’re a Bowersox fan, not all is lost with this news.

Have you listened to Farmer’s Daughter? Should Crystal have been kept on the label?
