The upcoming film Laggies will star Anne Hathaway, Chloe Moretz, and Sam Rockwell.
Laggies will most likely star Anne Hathaway, Chloe Moretz, and Sam Rockwell. Lynn Shelton, who helmed the fantastic indie Your Sister’s Sister last year, is directing. the fresh new screenwriter Andrea Seigel penned the script.
The dark comedy will feature Hathaway as Megan, who is a late-twenty-something woman that freaks out at her boyfriend’s marriage proposal. Claiming to go on a career retreat, Megan actually ventures into hiding for a week with 16-year-old Annika (Moretz). Rockwell will star as an older character named Craig (so far unknown what his role will be), and Mark Webber (Scott Pilgrim vs. the World) is also rumored to star as Megan’s boyfriend.
Last year, Hathaway starred as Cat Woman in The Dark Knight Rises and also won the Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in Tom Hooper’s Les Miserables for her stunning portrayal as Fantine. Moretz will be seen reprising her role as Hit-Girl in Kick-Ass 2 this summer, and Rockwell starred in Seven Psychopaths last year.
Shelton is coming off of having her latest film, Touchy Feely, being picked up for worldwide distribution after it debuted at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year.
