Talented actors Anna Kendrick and Sam Rockwell will team up for Mr. Right, a romantic comedy.
According to Deadline, Anna Kendrick and Sam Rockwell will star in Mr. Right, a romantic comedy from a script by Max Landis.
The plot of the movie is described as a woman (played by Kendrick) who has had a string of bad luck with men come to an end when she finally meets Mr. Right (played by Rockwell). She later finds out that he’s actually a reformed hit man, which tests their relationship. His dark past eventually catches up to him and they’re in a situation where they try to save each other (“Aww” on three).
Sam Rockwell and Anna Kendrick are two of the most talented actors working today, so seeing them pair up is a very enticing proposition.
Mr. Right will be another addition to a slew of projects in the works with Rockwell starring. He’ll star alongside Chloe Grace Moretz, Keira Knightley, and Ellie Kemper later this year in Laggies, and he has a remake of Poltergeist in the works along with Digging for Fire, Don Verdean, The Heart, and The Eel.
Kendrick also has some big projects coming soon. Her Sundance films Happy Christmas, Life After Beth, and The Voices are all due out this year along with Get a Job, The Last 5 Years, and, of course, Into the Woods. She also has Digging for Fire, Cake, and Pitch Perfect 2 coming out in 2015.
The script was written by Chronicle screenwriter Max Landis. Landis has Me Him Her, Frankenstein, American Ultra, and Good Time Gang all coming in the next few years.
Mr. Right will be directed by Paco Cabezas, best known for directing Tokarev, a film that stars Nicolas Cage that has not yet seen its American release.
