Angelina Jolie is absolutely killing it and is ready for some evil in the new teaser for Maleficent: Mistress of Evil.

The highly anticipated sequel to 2014’s Maleficent is coming soon, and Disney has given us an exciting glimpse into the new movie. In the first teaser released for the film, we see Angelina Jolie reprising her role as the infamous villainess, and she is 100% here to cause some serious trouble.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil takes place a few years after the events of Maleficent, which told the story of Sleeping Beauty from Maleficent’s point of view. The new perspective turned the story on its head and actually showed the King as the villain rather than Jolie’s iconic character.

In Mistress of Evil, Maleficent has joined forces with Aurora (Dakota Fanning) to protect the Moors, but the two seem to have quite the complicated relationship in this film. And if the line “this is no fairy tale” that we see in the trailer is any indication, this movie seems like it will definitely take a few darker turns than the original.

But in addition to Jolie and Fanning returning, we also have the addition of a completely amazing new cast member: Michelle Pfeiffer has joined the cast as Aurora’s future mother-in-law, Queen Ingrith.

Aurora and Maleficent must work together to continue to protect the Moors, but Queen Ingrith seems to be working overtime to cause a rift between Aurora and the horned fairy. And judging by some of those scenes that flash across the screen in the trailer, she might actually do a pretty good job at making Aurora believe Maleficent really is a villain.

Jolie has said this new movie will give fans a “new, surprising world” to dive into, and we can see that with the epic CGI effects which dazzle onscreen in the trailer. We can’t wait to see the new installment in this saga, and the realms of magic and wonder that Mistress of Evil will take us into.

Maleficent: Mistress of Evil opens in movie theaters everywhere on October 18.
