Long-time Hollywood couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt married over the weekend, a spokesperson has confirmed to the Associated Press.

The actor and actress got hitched “in the French hamlet of Correns,” within a small chapel where a small group of family and friends watched the ceremony.

Jolie and Pitt had their six children at their side during the wedding. “Jolie walked the aisle with her eldest sons Maddox and Pax. Zahara and Vivienne threw flower petals. Shiloh and Knox served as ring bearers,” according to the AP.

The Hollywood couple famously vowed several years ago that they wouldn’t get married until gay marriage was legal. Last year’s strike down of the Defense of Marriage Act by the Supreme Court of the Untied States may’ve pushed Angelina and Brad towards setting a wedding date.

The couple have been together since 2005 when they were working together on the film Mr. and Mrs. Smith. They got engaged in 2012.

In May of this year while promoting Maleficent, Jolie had told reporters that she and Pitt were “just waiting for it to be the right time with the kids, with work, when it feels right.”

Congratulations to the couple!
