Fleabag may be no more, but that doesn’t mean Andrew Scott and Phoebe Waller-Bridge are calling their working relationship quits.

Fleabag lovers may never get their fill of Andrew Scott’s Hot Priest, but unfortunately, the odds of seeing him play the role again are slim to none — and not just because the hit Phoebe Waller-Bridge series won’t be coming back for a third season.

In a recent interview with Variety, Scott was asked about whether or not he might be interested in a Hot Priest spinoff, should the opportunity ever arise.

So what’s Scott got to say about that? Like Waller-Bridge, it sounds as though the actor feels as though Hot Priest’s story has run its course.

“No, I don’t think so,” Scott told the outlet. “I think we’re going to leave that story alone.”

However, just because fans may never see Hot Priest grace their screens again, doesn’t necessarily mean Scott and Waller-Bridge won’t ever reconvene on future projects.

In fact, according to Andrew Scott, he and Waller-Bridge already have “plans to work together on something else.”

“What we shared as well as her being such a great friend and having great chemistry, we wanted to work on stuff together,” said Scott. “Maybe not Hot Priest, but I can definitely say that we are going to be working on something together.”

For now, we guess we’ll just have to make do with (hopefully) seeing the dynamic duo reunite on the red carpet at the 2020 Golden Globes ceremony, where both received nominations for their work on Fleabag.

The Golden Globes are set to air via NBC on January 5, 2020.
