During last night’s episode of SNL, it was announced that Andrew Garfield will host with musical guest Coldplay.

The announcement was also posted on SNL’s various social media accounts. Garfield will host when SNL returns in a few weeks on May 3.

This is perfect timing, as Garfield’s new movie The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which is expected to be a summer blockbuster, will open in theaters the same weekend on May 2.

This will mark the first time Andrew Garfield will host Saturday Night Live. He previously appeared in the opening monologue of girlfriend Emma Stone when she hosted in 2010.

Coldplay is also having a big month in May with the release of their highly-anticipated new album Ghost Stories. The new album, which is their first since their brief hiatus in 2011, will hit shelves and digital download on May 19. Coldplay, which had a song on The Hunger Games: Catching Fire soundtrack, will also be touring their new album this summer.

With so many blockbuster movies coming out this summer, the final few episodes of SNL should be jam-packed full of A-List hosts.
