On the heels of a new poster, a new Anchorman 2 trailer hit the internet at this late hour with our first look at footage from the movie.

With Journey’s “Don’t Stop Believing” carrying the trailer, Will Ferrell’s Ron Burgundy leads the Anchorman 2 trailer in several great scenes including one at Sea World. We also get new, soon-to-be-classic moments from Steve Carell’s character Brick Tamland. Thankfully, he hasn’t changed a bit from when we last saw him.

Anchorman 2 follows our favorite San Diego-based news anchors during the 1980s as they decide to start a 24-hour news channel. In at least one scene (pictured above), it looks like they’re moving to New York City. Baxter, Ron’s beloved dog who he strangely is able to communicate with, is also back.

In the trailer you’ll view first looks at new characters played by James Marsden and Kristen Wiig. The latter actress has a great scene with Brick.

An alternate version of this trailer will be in theaters this Friday with Brad Pitt’s World War Z.

Anchorman: The Legend Continues opens in theaters December 20, 2013. The Legend Continues is a follow up to the 2004 movie Anchorman and is directed by Adam McKay. Cast members include Carell, Ferrell, Vince Vaughn, Paul Rudd, Christina Applegate and a slew of newcomers: Marsden, Wiig, Jim Carrey, Nicole Kidman, Kirsten Dunst, Harrison Ford, Liam Heeson, Sacha Baron Cohen, and John C. Reilly.

The number of new actors coming on board suggests that this film is going to be out of control in the best way possible. A slew of cameos thrown at us left and right will turn this into probably one of the best comedies of the year. And we’re still coming down from our high after seeing This is the End.

A previous teaser trailer for Anchorman 2 featured each of the lead guys briefly addressing the audience.
