If you thought you’d never get to see Amy Winehouse on tour again, you weren’t alone.

But through the magic of technology, the singer, who passed away at the age of 27 in 2011, will return to the stage for a live tour near the end of 2019. Well, at least a holographic version of her will.

How is this happening? The tour is being put on by BASE Hologram, who will use “state-of-the-art proprietary technology” to produce the tour, which will feature “digitally remastered arrangements of her classics.” Winehouse herself will obviously be a projection, but she will be backed by a “live band, singers, and theatrical stagecraft.”

The tour is being produced in partnership with the Winehouse family and the proceeds will go to the Amy Winehouse Foundation, which aims to “prevent the effects of drug and alcohol misuse on young people.”

Amy’s father, Mitch Winehouse, Tweeted his support of the endeavour, expressing that he was “delighted” to be teaming up with BASE Hologram for the project.
