Mitch Winehouse, father of the late Amy Winehouse, has just announced plans to write a biography chronicling the talented singers troubled life.

Executives at Harper Collins announced earlier today that a book deal has been signed between the publishing giant and Mitch Winehouse to pen a biography of his recently deceased daughter.  It Books, which is the celebrity driven imprint, will publish the book in North America, while Harper Non-fiction will do so in the United Kingdom.

The book will detail the entire story of Amy’s life, beginning with her early years as a precocious child.  It will then delve into her rapid rise to mega-stardom and finally, her highly publicized fight with drugs and alcohol, ultimately resulting in her untimely death.

While financial terms were not disclosed, it was stated that all proceeds from the book will go directly to The Amy Winehouse Foundation, a charity developed by Mitch which helps children and young adults who struggle with substance abuse.

The book will be entitled Amy: My Daughter and is due out in the summer of 2012.
