It looks like Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino will be sticking with Amazon Studios for years to come.
According to Variety, Amazon Studios has officially inked an overall deal with Marvelous Mrs. Maisel creators Amy Sherman-Palladino and Daniel Palladino.
The studio shared the good news with the world on Wednesday (February 13) as part of their presentation at the Television Critics Association winter press tour.
According to a statement made by Amazon Studios head Jennifer Salke, the overall deal includes future seasons of Mrs. Maisel as well as future originals.
“We celebrate the critical success of The Marvelous Mrs. MAisel and our extended overall deal with them, which will allow our Amazon Prime audience to continue to enjoy their groundbreaking show and future original series from this incredible duo,” said Salke.
Sherman-Palladino chimed in as well saying, “We did everything we possibly could to scare them off, but nothing worked. So now we happily plant our flag in Amazon world.”
Currently, both Amy Sherman-Palladino and Dan Palladino are hard at work in pre-production for season 3 of The Marvelous Mrs. Maisle, which should overjoy fans who just can’t get enough of Midge, Susie, and the rest of the bunch.
As excited as we are for more Maisel, we’ll be looking forward to seeing what else the Palladinos dish up now that they’ve made it official with Amazon Studios!
