Moxie, Amy Poehler’s second directorial feature for Netflix, has cast Patrick Schwarzenegger in a lead role, with Ike Barinholtz likewise in talks to join the feature.

Amy Poehler might be best known and beloved for her portrayal of Parks and Recs character Leslie Knope, but the talented comedic actress has shown that she’s just as comfortable behind the camera as she is in front of it.

Her directorial debut, Wine Country, premiered on Netflix last May to overall favorable reviews and touted an incredibly talented and star-studded cast that included Tina Fey, Maya Rudolph, and Ana Gasteyer.

The actress-turned-director will be headed back to the director’s chair for a second time with the upcoming film Moxie, which will likewise be released on Netflix. Earlier this month, it was announced that Moxie had cast relative newcomer Hadley Robinson and Lauren Tsai (from Legion) in leading roles.

Deadline broke the news earlier today that Moxie would be expanding its cast, with Patrick Schwarzenegger joining the film in a lead role and Ike Barinholtz in talks to join as well.

Moxie is an adaptation of the YA book of the same name by Jennifer Mathieu. The story centers on Vivian Carter, played in the film by Hadley Robinson, who gets fed up with the sexism rampant in her small-town Texas high school. Finally fed up with it all, she takes inspiration from her mother’s ’90s Riot Grrrl past and creates a feminist zine that she distributes anonymously to her classroom.

While she made the zine to blow off steam, other girls respond to it, and soon Viv is forging friendships with other young women across the divides of cliques and popularity rankings. She realizes that what she has started is nothing short of a girl revolution.

According to Deadline, Schwarzenegger plays the school’s handsome jock who offers vociferous opposition to the Moxie movement, and who has darker secrets in his past. No word yet on who Lauren Tsai or Ike Barinholtz would be playing.

Production for Moxie has just gotten underway in Los Angeles, with no release date set as of yet.
