You may not have been able to finish the original Amnesia (we weren’t), but celebrate Halloween with a look at the sort-of sequel, A Machine for Pigs.

Though the trailer seems to be treading similar ground to Amnesia: The Dark Descent with poor lighting, strange noises, and heavy breathing, that doesn’t stop the two-minute look from being scarier than most modern horror games.

Take a look below.

Originally, A Machine for Pigs was supposed to launch today but was delayed until early 2013. Who says you can’t be scared all year round?

If you enjoyed the trailer, developers thechineseroom want your screams, inviting fans to send in their “screams, whimpers and blood-curdling shrieks of terror” for possible use in the game. Find out more at Frictional Games‘ official website.

“We are on the hunt for the sounds of fear, panic, terror, anguish, torture and horrid, awful death to include in the soundtrack for Amnesia: A Machine for Pigs,” the studio writes. “We don’t care who does the screaming. We just want the fear.”

If you somehow haven’t experienced the original Amnesia, you’re in luck because the game is on sale on both Steam and the developer’s official website until at least tomorrow.
